Since we are a skin care company, of course we spend most of our time telling you about the ingredients in beauty products. But we don’t want to make it sound like all you have to do is buy the right skin care and you’ll go from Roseann Barr to Bar Refaeli. No cosmetic works as quickly and drastically as fillers, surgery, or Botox. But most of us only want to take care of our skin, not transform into a different person. So start with a good product that you love to use, then make sure you support your skin’s health with the right lifestyle.
We need to face that we aren’t going to be the one person in the world to escape aging. But you CAN look better than expected for your age and people do that all the time. Skin bears the bulk of an unhealthy life, so smoking, drinking and too much sun WILL affect your skin, breaking down collagen, and aging you faster. Keep those to a minimum so it doesn’t show on your face. Diet is the biggest area where so many people are only thinking it affects their bodies, not their skin. However, diet has a major impact on your day to day skin issues.
I’ve started to keep track of what I eat and whether I have redness, inflammation, or a puffy face. I’ve stopped eating wheat and have noticed a drastic difference in the way my skin looks. I haven’t lost weight, but my face is thinner, tighter and less puffy. Whenever I eat wheat again, I wake up the next day with a puffy face. Most age related diseases and weight gain have low level chronic inflammation at the root. Whatever foods cause inflammation in your body should be avoided for at least 30 days in order to see if you are just sensitive to it from eating too much of it, or possibly you can go back to eating it without issue. Sometimes bodies just need a break to clear stuff out. I hope I can go back to bread one day, but if I can’t it’s more important to be healthy.
We read lots of customer reviews of competitor skin care products. Most people seem to think they will see a difference in their face after a week or two of use. But your skin took a long time to get to its current state, good or bad, and it will take a long time to change its biochemistry. It is not going to be over night. But your products will work quicker if you eat an anti-inflammatory diet with lots of protein and collagen, drink tons of water, sleep well and exercise. You cannot separate the state of your skin from the rest of you and then say skin care companies don’t have products that work. We’re not miracle workers, we can only do so much. YOU have to do most of it and be responsible for your body's and skin's health. And we’ll be responsible for offering natural products that work.
